Taught by Susan — sober for almost 30 years, sharing what actually works to break the nightly drinking habit

If you’ve fallen into the habit of drinking every evening and wondering how to break the nightly drinking habit, you’re not alone. That was me almost thirty years ago.
Maybe you’ve told yourself, “Tonight will be different”… only to find yourself right back in the same routine.
That’s exactly where this course comes in.
This isn’t about labels or extremes.
It’s about breaking a habit that no longer serves you — and replacing it with something better.
Live Better Sober is a structured, step-by-step course designed to help you change your nightly drinking pattern in a way that actually fits real life.

This course is for you if:
Rock bottom isn’t the end. Sometimes it’s the solid ground you finally push up from.
This course is built around a simple idea:
👉 Change happens through consistency — not perfection
You’ll follow a 66-day structured approach with:
No overwhelm. No extremes. Just a clear path forward.
This isn’t random or guesswork. Over the 66 days, you’ll move through six clear stages that reflect what actually happens when you change a long-standing habit.
Stage 1: Awareness & Wake-Up Call (Days 1–11)
This is where things become clear. You start to see the pattern for what it really is — and why it’s been so hard to change.
Stage 2: Denial & Resistance (Days 12–22)
This is where your mind pushes back. Thoughts like “Maybe I don’t need to stop…” are common — and completely normal.
Stage 3: Realization (Days 23–33)
You begin to connect the dots. The habit starts to lose some of its hold as you understand what’s really going on.
Stage 4: Acceptance (Days 34–44)
This is where things begin to settle. You’re no longer fighting it in the same way — you’re working with it.
Stage 5: Confidence Building (Days 45–55)
You start trusting yourself again. Evenings feel more manageable, and your new routine begins to feel natural.
Stage 6: Success & Stability (Days 56–66)
By this stage, the habit is no longer in control. You’ve built something steady — something that lasts.
This structure matters — because when you understand the stage you’re in, you stop second-guessing yourself and start making real progress.
Most advice focuses on willpower.
This course focuses on:
Because that’s what actually creates lasting change.
If you’ve tried to break the nightly drinking habit before, you already know this:
It’s not about knowing you should stop.
It’s about what happens in that moment — at the end of the day — when the routine drinking habit kicks in.
Most approaches rely on willpower alone.
They tell you to “just say no” or “stay motivated.”
But motivation fades.
And willpower gets tired — especially at night.
That’s why this course takes a different approach.
Instead of fighting the habit head-on, you’ll learn how to:
Because once you change the pattern, you don’t have to keep battling the same decision every night.
I drank for twenty years — and I’ve now been sober for almost three decades. I don’t miss alcohol. I don't even think about it.
This course is based on real-life experience, not theory.
Everything you’ll learn comes from what actually works in the real world — not what sounds good on paper.
The course is currently in development and will be released on Udemy soon.
